The blurb sold it, the first impression backed it up!

To be honest just reading the blurb on readers first I suspected I'd like the sound of this book.

I do like my crime thrillers and this book seems to have done a nice twist on the usual theme.

The crime is committed right at the start with no build up or background and then jumps 4 months, which is odd in crime thrillers, until you realise that the lead character isn't the investigator in charge of the case, nor the plucky novice policeman, but a defence lawyer!

I was already a fan and enjoying the first impression but now Neil White has me very intrigued as to where this story is going to lead,

Not only is it a who-done-it, but it's a how do we prove he did or didn't as well.

Then you meet the prime suspect and from the start there's confusion about if he did it and if he's in his right mind.

There's a smattering of other characters introduced who will undoubtedly will play a larger role as the story progresses but the characterisation of Peter the suspect and Dan the Lawyer is already top notch.

A great first start and a interesting take that seems extremely promising
