Neil White is one of my very favourite authors. This is the second in the lawyer Dan Grant and investigator Jayne Brett series and it is simply brilliant. It grips you right from the start and, in true Neil White fashion, takes you in a real breathtaking rollercoaster ride and finally wrings you out at the end completely exhausted. I would recommend anyone to read this book as it does not disappoint at all. Prior to this, the author has written 5 books in the Jack Garrett and Laura McGinity series, a stand-alone thriller called Beyond Evil, 3 books in the Sam and Joe Parker series and the first book in the Dan and Jayne series and I can promise you that each book is a smasher. I do so hope there’ll be more in this series as it’s turning out to be an excellent partnership.
