"See no evil... Hear no evil... Speak no evil..."

I did with this book, what I am prone to doing with most books, reading the one which is not the first in a series. The Darkness Around Her is Neil White's second instalment in his Dan Grant Trilogy, and yet again, I started in the middle of the series.

This book follows Dan Grant who has been assigned to a case of a client who has the habit of confessing to crimes that they did not commit, this time, the murder of Lizzie Barnsley who has previously escaped from her abusive boyfriend.

Even though this book is the second instalment in White's trilogy (I am still not sure if it is a direct continuation or not), I still found it to be quite an enjoyable read, even for it being the first of White's works that I have read, and have never having heard of him before, but I am still unsure of how much I enjoyed it, whether I did or not.
