The story follows Dan Grant, a def nice lawyer on his first solo murder trial. The client, Peter Box, wants no one but Dan working on his case but Dan has one problem . . . Peter's not talking. There's no link between Peter and the victim and Dan finds himself slightly at a loose end until his boss comes to him with some very interesting information.
This piece of information changes the case completely and Dan has his private investigator, Jayne Brett, look at a previous case to see if she can find anything to help his defence and it takes it in a whole different direction.
The digging turns up a lot more questions than answers and the more digging they do, the more complicated it gets.

I was hooked reading this book. New things were constantly being thrown in, something else to keep you guessing from start to finish.

I'd definitely recommend this book to fans of the crime/mystery genre.
