I have only read the extract given, but I was given an incredibly clear view of what is to be expected through the rest of the book. It conveyed a clear insight into the dreadful control and ownership that can occur in dangerous relationships, and the self-doubt that can cover it. It also displayed clear images and messages about manipulation, and the lies that, therefore, come with it.
I found the title intriguing, and as great fan of mystery/crime books, it definitely appealed to me and grasped my attention.
The growth of characters and the story was certainly a quick one which captured the way in which times can change in one single moment. I was impressed by the author’s writing and I would be interested in reading more of their books.
