I really enjoyed this book. Written incredibly well the story follows a murder trial where the defence lawyer is doing his first trial on his own and the defendant has pleaded not guilty but said nothing else. With a twist I didn’t see coming I enjoyed this book from start to finish and was hooked. Although the victims are deceased at the start of the book I found myself with my fingers crossed during the trial and hoping the jury would find justice for them ( if that was the defendant or not was irrelevant I just wanted someone to be punished!) I will definitely be keeping an eye out for future books by this author. Especially ones featuring dan grant as I cannot wait to see how this character develops following his first solo trial
