An Interesting Concept

The Dinner List is a nice easy read with a simple premise. However, the blurring of past and present didn't really do it for me.

New Yorker Sabrina, ends up having a dinner party for her 30th birthday. Yet this dinner party was with a twist: Audrey Hepburn was in attendance, her long-dead father, her best friend and an old admired professor.

Whilst strange, it does carry a simple message. I found Sabrina quite a likeable character and this in turn made it a good little story to follow.

Aesthetically, the book cover is lovely and it does stand out on the shelf. It has potential and for some this book would be perfect. But the blurring of time and the fact that people have come back from the dead didn't really persuade me to think this would be an amazing book. Average but nice.
