This started off so well but unfortunately the more I read on, the less and less I liked it. This is about 250 pages long but it felt so much longer and honestly, it kind of felt like it dragged. I feel like there was too much going on and it meant that the plot and story just didn't work for me.
I wish Serle had reduced the elements of the plot. Considering that there are six people in the dinner, I wish I understood why some of them were there more and maybe got to know them a bit more. The romance did not work for me at all. At first, I was okay with it but it overtook the story and I didn't care for either of them as characters and Sabrina's character really annoyed me. I felt like that there could have been more to her and the story.
It's really hard to explain what I mean without spoiling it but overall, I didn't like this because it had a really cool premise and it didn't do enough with it in my opinion.
