The Dinner List is based on the concept of who would you invite to your dream dinner party.
For Sabrina, this is Audrey Hepburn, her father Robert, her best friend Jessica, her ex Tobias, and her university professor Conrad.
The difference between this and many dinner parties though, is that some of the invitees are dead.
The book flits between the evening of the dream dinner party, and in the most part the story of Sabrina and Tobias' relationship. At times this makes the book feel a little stop start, and ud have preferred longer sections either at the dinner party or in the past.

Tobias we discover half way through is dead, and this leads to some heart wrenching scenes where Sabrina is trying to keep hold of him, and keep him in the present before the dinner ends.
Overall I enjoyed this book and found it well written. Its an interesting concept, and generally handled well.
