I didn't get into this book straight away as I felt there wasn't enough information about the characters to make me like them. I felt all the way through that I wanted a little bit more to make me more invested in the characters. I did like the idea of the book as it is very different from other romantic books and it is really interesting to imagine how a fantasy dinner party would actually play out. I like the style of having the very short chapters alternating between the dinner party and the life story, this made the book quite fast paced. There were a few twists and turns and quite a few unanswered questions to think about afterwards. I couldn't guess how the book would end and was worried it might be too soppy but it was a really good ending.
