Interesting idea but could have been better
The Dinner List is an OK contemporary romance with a twist - the main character arrives for her thirtieth birthday party to find that her five dream dinner party guests are in attendance. I liked the premise of the novel and the fact that Audrey Hepburn was one of the guests as she would definitely be on my list!! However there is not much else to recommend this novel or to set it apart from other books in the genre.
The characters are a little one dimensional and cliched and I wasn't really interested in any of them or sympathetic towards them and their problems. However the book was an easy read and I read it in a couple of days as it was quite readable and I liked the writing style.
