This book intrigued me, the idea of a dinner with everyone off your dream list - including Audrey Hepburn - for a 30th birthday meal sounds pretty great. Even the cover held great promise, so why not 5*?
It was easy to read certainly.
However, I didn't find Sabrina a relatable - or even particularly likeable character. The story flits between the dinner party and the previous ten years and her relationship with Tobias, which at times I found obsessive. There were times when I wondered if all those round the table were dead - I couldn't get my head round them being in a restaurant....what did all the other diners make of it all?!
Perhaps I just wasn't in the zone but I think there were wasted opportunities here.
