Sweet
This is a very sweet novel and a nice easy read. Basicially, the plot centres around the ‘fantasy dinner party’ idea actually coming true.
As an Audrey Hepburn fan, I was pleased to find that she is one of the dinner guests - and that the main character is called Sabrina!
This is a bit of a tear- jerker in places too. Sabrina’s long-dead father is one of the dinner guests, who it transpires she barely knew because he walked out on her mother when Sabrina was a child. So there’s quite a lot of family drama going on too!
Without giving the ending away, I will say that it is bitter-sweet, but also seems very fitting.
I enjoyed this and it was thought -provoking (at the very least it got me thinking who my own guests would be).
