The dinner list lived up to my first impression- it seamlessly bounces back and forth between Sabrina’s unique dinner and her life with Tobias. This works really well and helps the book keep pace, making it a really easy quick read. Whilst the storyline isn’t the most inspired- it’s quite obvious that there will be a lengthy on/off passionate relationship between Sabrina and Tobias, there are a couple of unexpected moments and I loved their unique ‘five’.

With the exception of Robert and Jessica, the biggest downfall is the extra characters at the dinner party don’t add much to the storyline. Whilst they undoubtedly tie into the story, there was potential for them to have more of an impact.

It is however beautifully poignant and did succeed on taking you on an emotional journey. The notion behind the story makes you as a reader reflect on your own journey and what you would say to those that were once in your life who may no longer be.

Overall it was an enjoyable quick read that does make you root for the main characters.
