Celebrate Sabrina’s 30th birthday, where there is a meal attended by her father (who being long dead is an unusual guest), her best friend, the love of her life, a professor, and Hollywood icon Audrey Hepburn. The book is quite romantic in tone and the unconventionality of the guest list holds your interest and curious it’s for the book. As the dinner party progresses we learn more about Sabrina and the role the guests play/have played in her life. Ultimately, I appreciated the idea of the story rather than the actual telling of it as I felt the pace was slow in parts and there was a predictability to the progression/outcome that, although fitting, did mean it was not as impactful as I had expected when first started reading. That being said, it is easy to read, with fairly short chapters and so can be read quickly (I completed over a weekend).
