This one's a little sad. Mafalda's account of what is happening to her really does pull at the heart strings slightly. I like how the author has managed to write the story as a child would recollect it. I also like how the Cherry Tree has come to mean the world to the main character, using the tree as a coping mechanism. I personally think this might be a tad too sad for me to finish reading.
