Potentially heartbreaking?

This is one of those books that I'd buy, but then ponder over reading it. Just for the sheer fact that I don't know if there will be a 'happy ending' after reading other reviews I'd like to be able to find out. it's just plucking up the courage to do so!! The cover is intriguing, and definitely would stand out on a book shelf.
