I really did enjoy this book. I am an optometrist in my professional life, and to see a book so well written on the topic was very pleasing. A girl afflicted by a rare macular disease, which is blurring her vision to the extent that she cannot see anymore. The plot base itself was quite uplifting in the sense that there were underpinning themes of hope, self assurance and love. There was a potential love interest in the book, which was written well and not done over the top. The writing style was easy to follow and flowed very well. What I found fabulous was the book was drawn on the authers own experiences, which gave an interesting and enlightening outlook to the points mentioned. I would recommend this book for younger readers.
