Without giving away too much of the plot, the story is based around an Iranian woman and her teenage daughter who move to York and open up a vintage clothes shop, though it comes with many trials and tribulations, not to mention surprises.
Generally this was a lovely story with just a little touch of magic that was pleasant to read. I would definitely recommend that you give this book a go if you like contemporary fiction with a bit of a difference- or are a fan of Joanne Harris or vintage clothes. I can't believe what a bargain price it is at the moment and I would definitely try more books by this author in future.The characters are so real you can see them which is what I love in a good book.
