I just don't know if I would like this book. The language is lovely, the characters sympathetic or awful as appropriate, the circus is an interesting backdrop... but I'm not sure about the plot, it didn't initially draw me in. On balance I would give it the benefit of the doubt and continue reading, and hope to be hooked further along the line.
