The writing style of this book is almost as if the characters are talking to the reader - though in the book the two characters are talking out loud to animals in the circus - it has been a while since I read a book that seems as if it were meant to be read out loud.
Having the background of the 18th century circus is intriguing and I am unsure how 'electrickery' will tie in to the circus show, so want to read on to find this out and to learn more of the characters' lives in the circus.
