I love the cover of this book! It’s so bright colourful and it lured me in! Definitely caught my eye. The story it’s self is lovely with a few twists and turns along the way.
It’s set in eighteenth century England. It follows the story of mim and Alex along there journey with a traveling circus. Mim also known as the lady exotic, electrical Venus is a young woman who joined the circus at a young age and her ambition is life is to become a “learned woman” and be a lady. Mim is friends with alex too a young man with one arm due to an accident at a young age. They have grown up together and love each other dearly but they don’t realise what they are feeling is love. Mim becomes electrical Venus when dr Fox come along and offers her the position but this comes at a cost!
The story is great but very slow, it seems to take forever to actually get into the story.
