It's so nice to read a book from someone who lives so close to myself and shares the same fascination with Pendle Hill and it's witches! I look out onto Pendle Hill from my street most days and have always loved the stories of the Pendle witches. The beginning of this had me aching for more! I felt the longing of the main character for her child, I cannot imagine her pain at losing 3 babies at the age of 17!!
