I was drawn to the cover of this book. At first it looks like a forest but, like the story, soon other images begin to appear as if unfolding and adding to the tapestry of the story. The main character, Fleetwood, is engaging as her niavete and brashful youth seem to pour from her. She is curious and often times forgets her place, which makes her both relatable and likeable, however you can see a slight air of snobbery which highlights some capacity for growth. It will be interesting to see this character placed under some pressure. Whether she becomes better for it or whether a truer, less likeable side emerges.
