Seems like banal period drama more than mysticism

Wasn't very impressed with this first look.

Very little of substance, the historical setting is only loosely alluded too,and the drama so far just consists of family worries and the protagonists fear of not have a child.

There was a brief encounter in the woods that wasn't inspiring and whether or not this is suppose to be a historical fiction book about witch trials and the injustice of them or a tale of witchery I honestly couldn't say at this point.

It's not for me, seems like just another generic period history novel.
