When I first saw this book I initially bought it for the amazing cover without actually looking too deep about what it was and I am so glad I did. Once I received it I read the blurb and felt instantly excited to read it. It was from a period of time I never learnt about or knew too much of and especially not the Pendle hill witch trials but thanks to this book I am more clued up on what happened. The writing style was so easy to follow and quite fast paced. I absolutely loved the illustrations and the map it included. I also have to mention I loved that the book was separated into parts, something I personally look for in a book as it makes the story less daunting. The characters were so complex in my opinion and Fleetwood was such a relatable person even when the story is set so far away in time. After I completed this book I was on such a high I didn't think anything else would match up to it and now consider this one if my favourite books of all time. I can't wait to read the authors other works
