I like how this book is set back in time with interesting dynamics all the way through. I like how the main character proved her worth again and again especially in a time when females were muted by men a lot. It was interesting to read about the uses of and thoughts of witches back in the days where they were prevalent. Stacey halls really out did herself with this book and I’m very excited to read her next one! The cover was absolutely beautiful and I got this in the hardback version which wasn’t too big and bulky and just the perfect size. Sometimes it can be hard to relate to certain period characters but there was no problem with this in this book, it kept you gripped from the very start!
