What an amazing recount of events. Upon first starting this book the scene was very familiar to me as i grew up in Lancashire and Colne and Pendle were just as familiar to me as the sun is to the sky. I think that's what got me about this book, from the beginning reading and learning about Fleetwood and her life at the age of 17 was so intriguing to me. To learn she was with child having lost so many before, then to recieve a letter from a doctor saying she may die if she have another was just as suspenseful as anything. It was then her mission began, when she met Alice in the forrest my eyes were glued to the pages to learn more of the events to come.

Once Alice entered the story i wanted to learn more and more about her, there was a hidden story just waiting to be revealed. I was so elated when everything worked out in the end and the the great lengths Fleetwood went to save her dear friend whom she knew was innocent, amazing. I wished something more had happened to Rodger for i despised him and felt sorry for his wife, but alas justice was served, that's all that mattered.

I wish there were a part 2 to this book as i would love to hear more about how their lives progressed with everything that had happened.

The writing style of this book for me, was very easy to follow along with and with every word read a picture was painted in my head as i followed the story.

I finished this book in 2 1/2 days, i could not put it down!
