The character of Fleetwood was very lovable as she went against her times standing up for herself and Alice. Alice was kept as a mystery throughout the book, and as it went on more questions were raised about her as we got little snippets of information.
I thought the ending was great, usually I prefer to have all the questions answered at the end of a book but i liked that you were left with an element of mystery.
