Call me stupid, but it wasn't until the very end of this book that I realised it was based on real life witches, using some of the literature we actually study at uni. When I finally did realise, however, it added a whole new aspect to the novel and made it even more interesting. I really loved this book. The characters of Alice and Fleetwood are brilliant, and I loved their budding friendship. It's written really well, keeping me guessing and then second guessing. This book actually delivered what it promised at more. There was one aspect of the ending, which I won't spoil, that I wasn't quite happy with, but that is my only complaint about the entire book. In terms of the cover, it's really beautiful. I highly recommend.
