I recently finished reading this book and I was blown away by just how good and brilliant the writing was for this story. I have to admit it took me a couple of chapters to get into the story but overall this book was great. I really connected to a lot of the characters and I was really intrigued to read about this era of history. I loved learning about the witchcraft aspects of this book as they were based on real events and I think this really elevated this book into being a unique read.
I know we are not supposed to judge a book by its cover but the cover is beautiful and so is the writing. The way this whole book is written really draws you in and is magical in its own right! Considering that this is I think the authors first book it is a very great debut novel!
