This is a brilliant story, based in Lancashire around the tales of the Pendle Witches. Some historic points but not wholly based on historic facts, some imagination.
The story makes you fall in love with its characters and go on a journey with them throughout the book.
The writing is exceptional, keeps you hooked and isn't too factual.
The plot of the story is a steady pace that doesn't faulter at any point, the way in which the characters are portrayed is excellent and, for me, integral to the story.
In my opinion, the story takes hold and takes you on a journey around Pendle with the characters and all the way to witch trials in Lancaster at the castle.
