At first I found that this book was really difficult to get into. The whole first 80 pages was a little dull and seemed to just be about a timid young girl who kept having miscarriages, there wasn't much of another story line.
When more started coming out about the witches it did get a bit more interesting and creepy, which is what I was expecting from the book. I do however still find it a bit flat.
I may just not have enjoyed it much because of the era it was set. I do prefer modern story lines.
All being said, the writing itself was good and the idea behind the book is original which says a lot for books nowadays! The front cover of the book is magical. I also read the book really quickly so it can't be that bad.
