First of all I loved the front cover of this book. It definitely drew me in with its intricate patterns placed all over it. This book highlights the struggles that young girls faced many years ago. With no choice but to marry young and to birth multiple children. As she comes across Alice she feels that her life is finally beginning to get on track, however Alice has other plans. Alice is involved in a world of witchcraft which around that time is a very dangerous hobby to be involved in. It was intriguing seeing the friendship develop and watch as their lives become interwined. I would definitely recommend this author and look forward to any future novels that she may write. A five star read!
