The story is about 17 year old noblewoman Fleetwood Shuttleworth who is married to the man who owns the big hose man called Richard. Fleetwood is now a mistress of Gawthorpe Hall and so expected to provide an Heir for her husband. But unfortunately all her pregnancies end in miscarriages.
