I was so excited to read this book as it covers a bit of history from near where I grew up so immediately I connected with it and felt an extreme urge to read it. I now also have tremendous pride when I see this book in shops around the country! Firstly, what a beautiful cover design. The hardback version is gorgeous and I am so glad I have it as an addition to my selves! I love it! Secondly, I love the story and I love the history behind everything. It felt well researched and has got me even more intrigued to learn more myself. It was well written and I very much look forward to reading more from Stacey Halls hopefully in the near future.
