I know you the saying goes...never judge a book by it’s cover but this one definitely drew me into it due to the stunning art work and being set in Lancashire I couldn’t resist. The story is very well written and the first time I had read a book from this genre. I really enjoyed the characters and the fantasy aspect of the novel however I felt like not a lot happened in the story and when I finished the book I wasn’t really sure on the take aways. It is in places slightly shocking and an interesting read to learn more about the pendle witches having spent a lot of time in the area and not knowing or appreciating the full story. I’m not sure I would read another book of this type but overall an enjoyable read.
