The cover of this book is simply stunning, this would catch my eye and draw me in to read the blurb.
I read this in one sitting I was instinctively drawn to Fleetwood as a character and her circumstances, I felt so sorry for her and her passion in ensuring the pregnancy was maintained, especially as she was young at only is17 years old.
I did not like Richard as a character, and I was glad that Fleetwood and Alice and crossed paths.
It was interesting to see how the friendship developed between each other and how they both ended up not only depending on each other but in saving each other.
I found the mentions of witchcraft really interesting, this is my first book by the author but it won’t be my last. She has such a beautiful and interesting writing style.
I feel that this would be enjoyed by any one who has an interest in historical fiction or witchcraft.
