I loved this book.
It was written clearly and plenty of attention to detail to really set the scene of the gentry in the 1700s. Hall has described each character perfectly, with so much detail that you feel like you know each person personally.
It was very interesting and definitely gave a very good account of what went on in the 17th century in regards to class division and the witch trials.
I thought Hall set the scene perfectly and used her knowledge of the history of the Pendle witches to really capture the story.
The depth of research and the genius that has went into creating this story, especially the twists and turns and a few unexpected surprises that i did not see coming, this book kept me always wanting to know more.
I cant wait to read more for Hall!
