I absolutely loved this book that much I brought the foundling, also written by stacey halls, straight after I read this one, I found myself wanting to read more and more I'd even stay up late some nights because I got so lost in the book. I love how she describes slavery character and I love how there are so many characters from the mistress to Richard to the witches and the stable boy, my favourite part was definitely the ending because it wasnt what I was expecting when I first started reading the book, I thought I would read on to find out she had given birth and died a tragic ending, but to my surprise it was such a lovely ending and one I will definitely read again, well done stacey halls both of your books I've read have been amazing and took me to another world.
