Historical fiction is not my favourite genre but when I find one I love I REALLY love!
I have put this one off for so long and the more I put it off the more I was worried I'd hyped it too much in my head. I needn't have worried I loved it! I admit I was drawn in by the beautiful cover and then I read the synopsis and realised it was about the Pendle witch trials and anything to do with that sells itself to me immediately. The writing is beautiful and the fact that the characters were real people and even though the story isn't, the way it's woven around them is so believable you can imagine that every word is true.
I can't believe I out it off for so long and I can't wait to get hold of The Foundling now.
