A very verbose first three chapters, very lengthy and difficult to read at times, even for someone who studied English Literature at University. I feel the author read through the Oxford recommended reading lists and they somehow then all found themselves on the page later that week.
For me, I sincerely hope that the main character goes through some sort of amazing, motivational transformation because by the end of the 3rd chapter she had cried a lot, bemoaned her life and did very little else. I can't really sympathise with someone who is given thousands and thousands of Pounds for nothing and still cries.
I really do hope the book takes a better turn and the main character becomes a strong focus for the story, because from what I have read, so far she is just a vehicle being used to get us to other, more important characters. I would hate if the book also ends and she is just used as a cast-away narrator.
