Wow! Great start to what seems a thrilling story! I visited Venice on an art college trip and the authors description of the poorly lit winding streets is exactly how I remember it - eery and interesting. I loved the relationship between the main character and her grandmother who was keen for her to experience something different. Will be ordering this if I don't win :)
