I absolutely love where this is set and would love to immerse myself in the rich history, architecture and culture of the setting - however I have to be honest and say I feel any blurb that mentions a “secret” would normally be an automatic veto from me. Go into any supermarket and you’ll find a dozen books with “family secret” “long hidden secret” “secret past” and I generally feel it’s so overdone. But the promise of this magical Italian setting could be enough to make me reconsider!
