The Favour by Laura Vaughan follows eighteen year old Ada Howell. After the passing of Ada's father five years ago, Ada felt like she had the lost the purpose to her own life. However, five years later, eighteen year old Ada Howell is given another opportunity by her wealthy godmother who gifts her with a history trip to Italy. After exploring famous tourist spots in Venice, Florence and Rome, Ada begins to feel like she has found herself again as she is surrounded by all the people that she aspires to be like. She is so desperate to become one of them that when one mysteriously died, she finds an opportunity to join them.
This book is filled with mystery and it is so hooking, despite the slightly slow start to it. Laura Vaughan described the Italian surroundings with such detail that it can be easily imagined. I have recommended this book to so many people as I think it is a must read!
