I hated it so much, I loved it! What I mean when I say this is that all the characters involved were so frustrating, their ideals and opinions of both themselves and others were so antagonising, making it completely addictive. In this sense it reminded me of when I read Waugh's A Handful of Dust, and how desperate I was for the characters to make the right choice as opposed to the ones they decided were best. Such human choices therefore made it so annoyingly relatable and had me thinking back to all the times I might have thought as the main character Ada had.

This book also had me running through various emotions, and although the death of one of the characters is mentioned in the blurb, it is still shocking and surprising with interesting twists and turns.

Although the book did reference lots of art and terms I wasn't necessarily aware of, I don't feel this ruined the flow of the book or the storyline.

Overall, whilst this isn't a book I would usually go for, it really hooked me in and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I would definitely recommend this book, a real immersive and gripping read.
