I wasn't so sure on the storyline at first, however, I was pleasantly surprised to be intrigued and drawn into the story. The storyline is incredibly well-thought through and the characters are beautifully written, to the point where I was forming emotional attachments to them ( sucked when the book ended to be honest ). Sometimes in books the characters can seem animated or just un-realistic, sorta robotic ( if that makes sense? ) however the characters in this were beautifully written and so realistic. The writing itself is incredible, and a lot of the time novels can lack that beautiful language to truly capture the readers attention and draw them in, however this nailed it completely. I'm in awe of this book, truly, and I don't say that a lot.
However I can understand why it might not be some peoples taste, though I definitely recommend you give it a go! :)
