It was okay
I was really looking forward to reading this book as I love mystery thrillers, but I found this book very hard to get in to. At first there was a lot going on, it was hard to keep up with all the different characters' names and what their journey was, so I felt it hard to connect to them. Once I got into the story a bit more, I couldn't bring myself to like the main character (Ada) so I think this made me not like the book.
However, Laura Vaughn is an incredible writer. The way she describes the parts of Italy is beautiful. It has always been a place I want to visit and it has made me want to visit even more! This was the first book by Laura Vaughn that I have read, so I'm not sure if I just didn't like her writing style, so if you have read previous books by her and enjoyed them, you might like this.
I really wanted to like this book but I just couldn't get into it. Maybe in a few months I will come back to it and give it another chance as the synopsis really did intrigue me.
