So it was really bizarre I hated the character of Ada so much but actually really enjoyed the story. I enjoyed the dip into different cultures and the certain historic aspects and as much as I really did despise the character she was really well written and clearly you're supposed to feel that way about her. I will say however it was not an easy read was quite lengthy and very wordy in places that did sometimes make it feel a little bit of a drag to get through sections. However on the reverse side certain parts of the book had me gripped guessing what would happen next. The chapter lengths however were very manageable although it felt like sometimes the chapter ended in weird places perhaps to accommodate the short chapter style. I hadn't read a book by this author before and felt their style of writing different to authors I usually enjoy.
