Now, don't get me wrong - I really enjoyed this book. It was a sweet, heartwarming, if slightly unrealistic romance. But I wouldn't call it the next Bridget Jones.

Bridget Jones had me visibly laughing out loud when reading it, mainly because the writing style and misfortunes of the main protagonist were extremely funny and full of dry humour. Tiffy, the main character in this novel, isn't funny - but she's a very sweet, likeable character. Her life isn't exactly in the same bad league as Bridget's, so while I didn't find this story funny, it was still very engaging.

Leon's POV is well-written and adds a lot to his character development. I love how short the syntax is at the begging compared to the end of the novel - a true testament to how much Tiffy opens him up as a person. They really are adorable together!

This is the perfect romance book - and, while not exactly funny (except for the few funny quips from Rachel, who is definitely the most sarcastic and eccentric character that keeps you entertained!), it is a delight to read, and really is a heartwarming debut. I will look out for the author's future works, and look forward to reading more of what she has to write!
